Zimmer

Manual Clamping Elements

HK Series - A rotation of the freely adjustable clamp lever located on the side of the clamp allows cylindrical contact sections to be pressed at the same time against the open surface of the profile rail. Easily install and operate for simple applications. Depending on the height of the carriage, an additional adapting plate may be required.

HK series:
  • Rail size fits: 12 mm – 100 mm
  • Holding force from: 1.200 N – 2.000 N
  • Clamping cycles: 500.000 (B10d-value)

Mini HK Series - When adjusting the clamping screw to a tightening position, the contact sections synchronously press against the web of the profile rail, guaranteeing symmetric power transmission.

MiniHK series:

  • Rail size: 5 mm – 42 mm
  • Holding forces: 40 N – 300 N
  • Clamping cycles: 500.000 (B10d-value)

HKR Series - When turning the freely adjustable clamp lever, the contact sections are pressed synchronously against the free surface of the round shaft. At a minimum, material should be HRC 54. Available for both Metric and Imperial round style shafting.

HKR series:

  • Shaft size: 12 mm – 50 mm
  • Holding forces: 1.200 N – 2.000 N
  • Clamping cycles: 500.000 (B10d-value)

Pneumatic Clamping and Braking Elements

MCP/MCPS - The MC series was developed specially for miniature guide rails and can be used for miniature rail sizes from 5 to 20 mm. The small and compact size is designed to match up to block on one side. Simple floating section enables movement to self align, ensuring a proper contact is achieved on the rail.

MK/MKS - The MK, a classic Zimmer clamping element, is designed to operate with pneumatic pressure. The patented wedge slide gear achieves high supporting forces while the pressure medium moves the wedge slide gear in a longitudinal direction. The result being that the transverse movement makes contact with high force against the free surfaces of the section rail guide. The MK is clamped (closed) by pneumatic pressure. The MKS is clamped (closed) by spring-loaded energy storage and is opened by pneumatic pressure. The MKS is essentially the MK clamping element with spring force that engages during power interruptions. Designed to operate with spring power, no air requirement excellent for power interrupt applications.

MKS Zimmer

 

MKR/MKRS - Designed to operate with pneumatic pressure, the patented wedge drive moves in a longitudinal direction when pneumatic pressure is applied to the piston. The result being that transverse movement presses the contact sections with high supporting forces. The MKRS is essentially the same clamp however it includes a spring that provides pressure to the piston. These pneumatic clamps are available in both IMPERIAL and METRIC.

  • Shaft size: 12 mm – 60 mm

TPS - The TP series is a pneumatic clamping element for torque motors or for rotational axes. Working with a newly developed spring-loaded energy storage system. Torque take-up occurs inside the TP which excludes wear on the driven shaft. Due to high rigidity, positioning accuracy is exact in use.

TPS series:

Hydraulic Clamping and Braking Elements

KWH - A normally open hydraulic clamping element for extremely heavy loads. The hydraulic fluid presses large contact sections, via high pressure membrane technology, resulting in zero backlash and extremely low absorption volumes of maximum 7.6 cm3 per clamping operation..

Normally OPEN (hydraulic power required to close)

KWH series:

  • Rail size: 25 mm – 125 mm
  • Holding forces: 1.600 N – 46.000 N
  • Maximum permissible operating pressure depending on size: 100 - 150 bar
  • Maximum permissible peak pressure depending on size: 110 - 160 bar
  • Clamping cycles: 10.000.000 (B10d-value)
